The Story Behind the Convergence
On Tuesday, 20 October 2026, HACKTURA – CYBER X KERALA joined forces with Tinkerspace Kochi to host Kerala's flagship in-person cybersecurity gathering: Hacktura Cyber Convergence 2026.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hacktura, my focus from day one was to break away from traditional lecture-heavy conferences. We wanted to build something raw, tactical, and deeply community-first — a space where top bug bounty hunters, exploit developers, hardware tinkerers, students, and infosec practitioners could sit across the table from each other, share live zero-days and methodology breakdowns, and forge genuine collaborations.
"Cybersecurity in Kerala is transitioning from isolated talent to a unified, formidable ecosystem. Hacktura Convergence was the physical proof that our community is ready to lead on the global stage."
Leadership Core: Sidharth S (COO) with Shibin KS (Founder)
Building Hacktura into Kerala's most active and respected cybersecurity community has been an incredible journey. Collaborating directly with Shibin KS (Founder of Hacktura), our mission has centered on cutting through gatekeeping in infosec, equipping students with real-world ethical hacking skills, and mentoring bug bounty researchers across Kerala.
Run of Show: What Happened Inside
We deliberately curated a fast-paced 3-hour agenda packed with offensive/defensive demonstrations, threat intelligence briefings, and live tool breakdowns:
Attendees arrived from Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut, Thrissur, and across Ernakulam. The registration desks were buzzing, badging was confirmed, and opening introductory networking sparked immediate conversations over coffee.
An in-depth breakdown of Kerala's evolving infosec landscape, new enterprise attack surfaces, cloud misconfigurations, and key security research priorities for 2026 and beyond.
Hands-on vulnerability dissection: Reconnaissance automation, modern web exploitation chains, bypassing contemporary WAFs, and building defensive observability pipelines for resilient architectures.
Demonstrations of open-source security utilities developed by Hacktura community members, hardware analysis tools, and an exclusive preview of Hacktura's upcoming 24-hour statewide CTF challenges.
Open floor for independent researchers to pitch ideas, distribution of official Hacktura convergence swag, and the group photo wrapping up an unforgettable morning.
Autonomous Systems & RF Security: Sidharth S with Hardware Hacking Drone
One of the highest-energy highlights of the convergence was our deep-dive into radio frequency (RF) vulnerabilities and autonomous drone telemetry interception. During the hardware track, I showcased how unencrypted drone communication protocols can be analyzed, intercepted, and audited for security weaknesses.

Future Operations: What's on the Radar?
Hacktura Cyber Convergence in Kochi is only the beginning of our 2026 roadmap. As COO, I am working with our core leadership team to execute on three major upcoming initiatives:
- Statewide Chapter Meetups: Expanding in-person technical sessions to our Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut, and Kannur hubs.
- Statewide 24-Hour CTF: Organizing a flagship jeopardy/attack-defense Capture The Flag competition open to university teams and independent professionals.
- Hardware & Firmware Security Labs: Setting up dedicated hands-on workshops exploring IoT security, hardware reverse engineering, and embedded firmware exploitation.
